Apr 09, 2019 Hey there, as of April 9th, 2019, the Dropbox desktop application will no longer work on any device running Mac OS X 10.9 or older. Please note that your data in Dropbox is safe, but you will not be able to access it through the Dropbox desktop application unless you update to a supported operating system. Download the latest version of the installer. Go to your Downloadsfolder and find the installer. Open another Finder window and go to /Applications (/Users/yourUserName/Applications). Note: If this folder doesn't currently exist, go to your user directory, create a new folder, and name it Applications.
If you’re computer is running Linux, and you want to run the Dropbox app, you need to use:
Operating system Ubuntu 14.04 or higher, Fedora 21 or higher
Glibc 2.19 or higher

A Dropbox folder on a hard drive or partition formatted with one the following file system types:
ext4
zfs (on 64-bit systems only)
eCryptFS (back by ext4)
